Spectres continues its legacy of pushing boundaries in weapons-themed silver art with the release of General Patton’s 1911.

Following the fan-favorite Revolver(widely praised as one of the best weapon-shaped coins ever minted) and the fully 3D George Washington Flintlock Pistol, this latest entry brings another American icon into silver form, this time honoring the unstoppable General George S. Patton Jr., one of WWII’s most feared and respected commanders.

The M1911A1 is one of the most iconic pistols in U.S. military history. While countless soldiers carried it through the World Wars, General George S. Patton Jr. is among the most famous figures ever associated with the weapon, owning and personally carrying a monogrammed M1911A1 alongside his other legendary sidearms. With that legacy in mind, this silver coin is crafted as a creative, fully sculpted homage to Patton and the pistol that symbolized American resolve.

The Battle of the Bulge

The reverse depicts the brutal winter offensive of the Battle of the Bulge, one of Patton’s defining triumphs. His M3 Stuart tank leads the charge alongside M10 tank destroyers and armored columns pushing through snow-covered terrain. Etched across the slide is his immortal quote: “It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather, we should thank God that such men lived.” The grip panel features Patton's iconic portrait in his uniform, set over a map of battle routes in the European Theater of Operations, capturing the momentum and aggression he was renowned for.

Old Blood and Guts

The obverse highlights Patton again, framed by a blended 48-star American flag, his signature along with map engravings, with his iconic helmet and four-star rank. The slide carries his battle nickname: OLD BLOOD AND GUTS. The grip is stamped with GSP, mirroring the monogram featured on Patton’s own pistols. Ornate scrollwork and custom engraving patterns finish the gun from muzzle to hammer.

A Tribute in Pure Silver

Struck in antiqued ultra high relief and measuring 66 x 41 mm, this shaped 1911 coin captures the unmistakable form and details of America’s service pistol while elevating it to a work of collectible art. Issued by Samoa (2026) with a face value of 5 Tala, this release is limited to just 1,944 pieces worldwide, commemorating the year of Patton's finest hour in World War II. Each coin arrives in a custom presentation box with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

A bold collectible for admirers of WWII history, American military legends, and high-end silver craftsmanship, a fitting salute to General Patton himself.
