Guan Yu’s Green Dragon Crescent Blade – A Weapon of Honor
Guan Yu (關羽), the legendary general of the late Eastern Han dynasty, remains one of the most iconic figures in Chinese history and culture. Renowned for his loyalty, valor, and righteousness, he was later deified as the God of War and Justice, honored in temples across East Asia. His weapon, the Green Dragon Crescent Blade (青龍偃月刀), became inseparable from his image, both in historical texts and folklore, standing as a symbol of strength, justice, and unwavering loyalty.

Shaped to the profile of the Green Dragon Crescent Blade and measuring 180 x 30 mm, it features an antiqued finish with selective gold gilding applied to the blade’s mount, grip, and butt spike. Intricate detailing captures key symbolic elements: a coiled dragon etched onto both sides of the blade; swirling cloud motifs around the guard; and a textured grip wrapped in high-relief dragon scales.
