The Megafauna series by Germania Mint takes collectors on a journey back to a time when extraordinary animals roamed across the lands of Europe and Asia. One of its featured species is the Giant Deer, or Irish Elk (Megaloceros giganteus). Its distinctive appearance and enormous antlers have made this species one of the most recognizable representatives of prehistoric fauna to this day. This edition of the series presents the 2026 Republic of Liberia Megafauna: Giant Deer Oblivion 20 Dollars 1 oz Silver BU.
The limited 2026 Republic of Liberia Megafauna: Giant Deer Oblivion 20 Dollars 1 oz Silver BU edition is available in a mintage of just 999 pieces, ennobled with Black Light Colours and an Antique Finish. Each coin is presented in a minimalist box and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
The obverse
The obverse depicts the Giant Deer surrounded by a prehistoric landscape. The animal is shown among forests, with its impressive antlers remaining the central element of the composition. The deer’s dynamic pose adds a sense of movement to the scene while highlighting its powerful build and distinctive characteristics.
The reverse
The reverse features an original motif created by Germania Mint. It depicts the skull of the Giant Deer with its expansive antlers, accompanied by a hoofprint. Surrounding the composition are tracks belonging to other prehistoric animals featured in subsequent Megafauna issues. In this way, the individual coins come together to form a shared and elaborate story of a world long gone.
Packaging
Each coin is presented in an elegant, minimalist box designed to complement the distinctive character of the Megafauna: Oblivion edition.
The packaging emphasizes the unique Black Light Colours and Antique Finish ennobling, while the included Certificate of Authenticity confirms the coin’s originality and its strictly limited mintage of only 999 pieces.
