This incredible coin weights 3 Oz and has a diameter of approximately 50 mm. It is a spherical coin and is a reproduction of Pangea.
 
The supercontinent is represented in High Relief on the reverse of this three dimensional coin and is rose Gold plated. I really like this choice of plating because the rose gold color gives the image of something unspoiled, just like the Earth must have been millions of years ago. The rose gold color also creates a beautiful contrast with the translucent blue enamel coating used to represent the ocean, called Panthalassa.
 
The obverse of the coin features the Coat of Arms of Barbados and the inscriptions: “BARBADOS” – the country of issue, “5 DOLLARS” – the face value, “2022” – the year of issue and “3 oz Ag 999” – the weight of the coin and the fineness of the Silver.
