Each 2008 1 oz Austrian Silver Philharmonic Coin has been designed with one troy ounce of .999 pure silver. The coins were created to celebrate one of Austria’s most revered cultural elements — the Philharmonic Orchestra. The coins showcase the Viennese Concert Hall with artistically wrought detail. The coins have also been stamped with “Republik of Osterreich.” The reverse side of the coins shows a group of orchestral instruments such as a harp, French horn, and violin. Customers will note the stunning detail evident in each instrument’s design. This side of the coin is also stamped “Wienner Philharmoriker.”
