The allegory is framed by an antique finish silver ring where olive branches and maples leaves signify Canada's contributions to peace and freedom. The motif repeats on the obverse, which features a rear view of the three-dimensional allegorical Freedom element, while the effigy of His Majesty King Charles III appears at the top.
