The design of the coin is characterized by a mystical theme and a unique design, that passes from the coin’s reverse to the obverse, creating a complete image of a Dragon or a great Snake. The reverse of the coin depicts the beautiful Dragon, with a shiny and metallic coloration. On the right side of the reverse, the inscription: “FAFNIR” – the name of the coin. On the center of the reverse, the inscription: “1oz Ag 999.9” – the weight and the fineness of the Silver.
 
The obverse of the coin continues the mystical design and features the Coat of Arms of Germania and the inscriptions: “GERMANIA” – the issuing country, “2020” – the issue year and “5 MARK” – the face value.
