The Utopiec coin is the fourth release in the collector’s series Slavic Bestiary, dedicated to mythical creatures from ancient Slavic folklore. Following the Rusalka, Domovik, and Alkonost, this edition brings to life another eerie legend. Struck from 3 ounces of pure silver (Ag 999) and limited to only 400 pieces worldwide, the coin captivates with its incredible detail and use of advanced minting techniques: UV printing, which adds delicate color highlights to select elements, and selective gilding that enhances the inscription “UTOPIEC SLAVIC BESTIARY.” 
 
Created in ultra high relief, every feature of the composition gains exceptional depth and dimensionality, offering a striking visual experience. The reverse depicts the titular Utopiec—a water-dwelling spirit said to be born from the souls of drowned victims and unborn children. In Slavic lore, these creatures haunted all types of water bodies, from lakes and rivers to roadside ditches. On the coin, the Utopiec is shown in full: tall and gaunt, with elongated limbs, disheveled hair, and a sinister expression. He emerges from behind a wooden structure resembling a water wheel or sluice gate, his pointed fingers and haunted gaze revealing his dark, supernatural origins. 
 
The background features a moody, immersive landscape: a spiderweb drapes the left side of the scene like a trap for unsuspecting prey, while the surrounding water and vegetation reinforce the eerie aquatic setting. Atop the creature’s head rests a water lily, subtly brought to life with UV printing, and above it hovers a small, bluish dragonfly. This contrast between the colored details and the raw silver of the coin adds depth and visual intrigue to the composition. 
 
At the bottom of the reverse appears the gilded inscription “UTOPIEC SLAVIC BESTIARY”—a gleaming accent that perfectly completes the design. The obverse features the Coat of Arms of the Republic of Cameroon at its center, along with the face value of “2000 FRANCS CFA.” Above it sits a small shield bearing the year of issue, while the border is adorned with elaborately sculpted plant and animal motifs, evoking the mysterious world of water spirits. 
 
From within dense foliage, a coiling, scaly form—suggestive of a water creature or reptilian tail—emerges, while lush vines and blossoms emphasize the untamed force of nature. Every detail is rendered with extraordinary precision, making the obverse as stunning and harmonious as the reverse.
