Arqline Saint Paul’s Cathedral explores this architectural icon from two perspectives. The obverse presents its impressive exterior façade, while the reverse reveals a detailed architectural cross section, offering a fascinating view into the structure and geometry of the famous dome.
 
A distinctive design element is the interplay of Silk finish and Proof, which integrates the historic architectural plan into the coin’s design. On the reverse, the plan appears both as a small, complete representation and as a greatly enlarged detail in the background. This magnified view continues in mirrored form on the obverse, visually connecting both sides of the coin in a harmonious overall concept. The result is a fascinating dialogue between architectural vision and completed masterpiece. Elaborately modelled reliefs further enhance the cathedral with an impressive sense of depth and dimension.
 
Another meaningful detail is the phoenix bearing the inscription “RESURGAM”, Latin for “I shall rise again”. As a symbol of rebirth, it recalls the reconstruction of Saint Paul’s following the Great Fire of London in 1666.
