The coin is completely plated with Ruthenium and partly with Pure Gold. The precious metal Ruthenium is a member of the Platinum Group and worldwide very rare.
 
The reverse of the coin features a Gold plated Taku Turtle with a stylized shell pattern swimming through the waters of the Pacific Ocean. On the bottom of the coin, the weight and the fineness of Silver.
