Carlo Collodi gave the world Pinocchio — the wooden puppet whose journey became a childhood classic. We celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Italian writer’s birth with a silver issue created in cooperation with the Central Bank of Malta. The design pairs a portrait of the author with an image of Pinocchio, whose story is about truth, responsibility and extraordinary strength of character.
