The reverse of the coin depicts an incredible image of a coloured skull like in the traditional Mexican festival, over the beautiful Gilded Winged Victoria, the goddess of victory in ancient Roman religion. All around the reverse of the coin, the inscriptions: “2 ONZAS” – the weight of the coin, “PLATA PURA”, “2017” – the year of issue, “LEY” and “.999” – the fineness of the Silver.
 
The coin's obverse depicts the Coat of Arms of Mexico and the inscription: “ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS” – the issuing country.
