The reverse of the coin features a Horseshoe under a magnifying glass. Horseshoes are commonly used on horses as the shoes help to prevent damage to the hoof and keep it healthy. For this reason, it is a symbol of good luck. The outer area of the reverse is decorated with a floral motif. The obverse of the coin features the Coat of Arms of Cameroon and the inscriptions: "REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN" – the country of issue, "2023" – the year of issue and "500 FRANCS CFA" – the face value.
