Iconic Comic in a Collector’s Edition – Straight from Mirmiłowo... in Silver!
The titular heroes of Janusz Christa’s beloved comic appear once again on a new coin in the Kajko and Kokosz series — faithfully recreated, colorful, full of character, and immortalized in the highest-grade silver.
 
The $5 Kajko and Kokosz – Mirmił’s Warriors collector coin is the third release in the series of 2-ounce coins dedicated to the adventures of the characters created by Janusz Christa. Produced under official license, this coin is the result of collaboration between the Mint of Gdańsk and the Kreska Foundation named by Janusz Christa The series captures the atmosphere and spirit of the iconic Polish comic, combining top-quality minting craftsmanship with faithful reproduction of the original artwork. Struck from 2 ounces of pure silver Ag 999, featuring ultra-high relief and UV printing, the coin is issued in a strictly limited edition of just 300 pieces worldwide.
 
The reverse depicts a scene rendered in Janusz Christa’s distinctive style. At the center are five characters – Kajko, Kokosz, Mirmił, Łamignat, and a woman in a long yellow dress. On the left foreground stands Łamignat, wearing a brown vest with a fur collar. He holds a whip raised in his right hand, and beside his head, inside a white comic-style speech bubble, are the words: “LELUM POLELUM! LECĘ PO MÓJ BACIK!”. Next to Łamignat is Mirmił in a red outfit, holding a shield. On the right side of the reverse, Kajko, dressed in a green tunic, stands beside Kokosz, who wears a black shirt and brown trousers. The entire scene is set against a light background with clear outlines and vivid colors that, thanks to UV printing, faithfully reproduce the hues of the original illustrations. At the top of the reverse, a white inscription “WOJE MIRMIŁA” appears on a black rectangular background, while at the bottom is the red “KAJKO I KOKOSZ” logo, accompanied by Christa’s distinctive signature.
 
The obverse features a classic design with decorative elements. At its center is the coat of arms of Fiji – a shield supported by two warriors, topped by a traditional sailing canoe. Below the shield is the motto “Rerevaka na Kalou ka doka na Tui” and the nominal value “5 DOLLARS.” At the top of the obverse is the inscription “FIJI 2025,” flanked by the markings “2 oz” and “Ag 999.” The background of the obverse is adorned with a detailed depiction of a fortified settlement featuring wooden palisades, gates, towers, and buildings reminiscent of the stronghold from Kajko and Kokosz’s adventures. This third release in the Kajko and Kokosz 2 oz series, following the $5 “50 Years of Comics 1972–2022” and $5 “Flight School” editions, is a must-have for coin collectors and fans of Janusz Christa’s work alike.
