Following the successful "Mythos" series, this is the third Cameroon coin with a face value of 2000 francs CFA; the previous issue, "Birth of Aphrodite," was nominated in the "Most Artistic Coin" category at the COTY awards.
 
The eagerly awaited third coin in the myth series lives up to expectations, combining classic and modern elements with the distinctive style and trademark of LGM.
 
The coin is inspired by the myth of Paris and the apple of discord, capturing the moment of Paris' choice. Taking a step back and retracing the myth, the gods entrust Paris, a young shepherd of noble lineage but unaware of his ancestry, with the task of deciding who is the 'most beautiful' among Hera, Athena and Aphrodite. Hera offered him power, Athena offered him wisdom and glory, and Aphrodite offered him the love of Helen. Paris reached out his hand and gave the apple to Aphrodite. This choice led to a long and bloody war.
 
Reading between the lines of the myth, we glimpse our fragility, aspirations and priorities, but also our inability to imagine the consequences of our actions and the gap that sometimes exists between what we desire and what fate has in store for us.
