The reverse of the coin depicts a beautiful and detailed image of a lion over a blue and yellow background, recalling the colors of Ukraine. Alla round the reverse, the isncriptions: “SLAVA UKRAINI” – meaning “Glory to Ukraine” and “HEROIAM SLAVA”, meaning “Glory to the heroes”. At the bottom, the Tryzub, the trident symbol adopted as the Coat of Arms of Ukraine.
The obverse of the coin features two lion’s half faces and the inscriptions: “FIVE RAND” – the face value, “1 OZ” – the weight of the coin, and “Ag 999” – the fineness of the Silver.
