The obverse
The obverse depicts the Cave Lion in its natural habitat – surrounded by mountains and ancient forests. Every detail, from the tense muscles to the bared fangs and sharp claws, captures the predator in full readiness, frozen in the moment before the decisive leap that determines survival.
 
The reverse
The reverse showcases an original Germania Mint design, featuring the Cave Lion’s skull and paw print, surrounded by tracks of other species that will appear in future issues of the Megafauna series. The composition is completed by the effigy of the Republic of Liberia and the Germania Mint mintmark, confirming authenticity and craftsmanship.
